 What We Do

A.WARE Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to sharing the power of art. Started by high school students from Vancouver BC, we recognize the importance of creativity to others and how it can impact their emotional, behavioural, and social needs. We strive to use art to bring communities together in a safe and inspirational spaces. Whether making animal-themed pots or painting designs on tiles, we know that every piece created will be unique and meaningful— A.WARE Foundation supports artists of all abilities and complex needs.

Why “A.WARE”

“A.WARE” is a portmanteau which combines the origins of our organization. Inspired by the tactile nature of ceramic arts, and the importance of sharing knowledge, our society started on the basis of combining the two.

Aware |  adjective | /əˈwɛː/ having knowledge or perception of a situation or fact

Ware | noun | /wɛː/ pottery, typically that of a specified type.
